Psychotherapy Services

A therapy session with me is a confidential space free from judgment.  I use clinical assessment, interventions, and continuously develop your treatment plan.  Client's that are the "right fit" usually have experiences of trauma, adverse childhood effects, ADHD, work in high stress careers, first responders, oppositional defiant disorder, veterans or active duty,  relationship issues, violence prevention, difficult life transitions, infidelity, sexual trauma, complex issues such as addiction or complicated grief, in addition to other concerns.

To ensure that you are investing in therapy that will actually work for you, we meet for an initial intake session where you describe your needs, and I tell you what to expect from me.

Throughout the process it is always authentic, explorative, and deeply meaningful.   My job is to create a space for you to talk.  It doesn't feel overly clinical (we almost never actually do formal pen and paper assessments) we just talk.  I never push you harder than you are ready for, but I also wont hold back where there is an opportunity to challenge you to grow.  I ask you what is working, I listen when you tell me what your problems are, and even if I assume they might be something deeper than what you bring to session, I will always go at your pace.

I treat trauma using narrative exposure therapy, cognitive processing therapy, and a gentle yet effect approach. When working through trauma this way clients often say things like "I have never said that out loud" or "I have never told anyone that before." We do all this while building your capacity for resilience, coping, and connection.

All sessions are available over the phone or delivered over a secure PHIPA compliant platform so you can rest easy, knowing that your sessions meet Ontario's and the CRPO's  health information privacy guidelines.

Is therapy worth it?  I think so, I have spent many years studying, learning, and refining my clinical skills.  I consider this a big investment you are putting towards yourself that can lead to better quality of life and healing.
